That Old Chestnut

Post Published: June 24, 2020
a poem from by book Hati-Hati

Skin-to-skin. that old chestnut

wasn’t even my best nut but

he sure talked a lot,

truth be told it’s a familiar story

that never seems bore me except

I’m lying around naked all day and

we didn’t even bare souls

in this warm weather climate

you wouldn’t even try it

then wonder why I’m so cold

not very shy

as he’ll pretend to be

just stubborn and controlling

SAME LIKE ME

oh well calm down baby

these are champagne problems

and we ran away from solving things

bring some beers, I’ll be home in 15

let’s try again next week

probably, maybe better don’t

you won’t learn anything

new anyway

past a certain age
